Can I localize or translate my KingSumo giveaways?
Yes, on every plan. Choose a language under Account → Giveaway Defaults, and your giveaway pages and entrant emails switch to it. 24 languages are available.
What gets translated
The language you choose is used for:
- your public giveaway pages (KingSumo's own buttons and labels),
- the emails KingSumo sends your entrants, such as the entry confirmation and the reminders, and
- the marketing consent checkbox text, if you turn it on (see How does the marketing consent checkbox work?).
It's one setting for your whole account, so it applies to all your giveaways at once, including ones already running. Every entrant sees the language you chose, whatever their browser language is.
Available languages: English, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Latvian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
How to change the language
- Click Account in the top menu.
- On the Account tab, find the Giveaway Defaults card.
- Choose a language under Giveaway Language.
- Click Save Changes.
To set up a giveaway, see How do I create a giveaway?. To learn what those emails contain, see Does KingSumo send any emails automatically?
Troubleshooting
My giveaway page is still in English
Check that you clicked Save Changes after choosing the language, then reload the giveaway page.
I want a different language for each giveaway
That isn't possible. The language is one setting for your whole account and applies to all your giveaways.
