Why am I getting a 404 error on a giveaway?

A giveaway shows a 404 (not found) page when it was deleted, or when its owner's account is unverified, suspended or deleted. The owner can fix the first two.

Why a giveaway returns a 404

  • The owner hasn't verified their email. Their giveaways stay hidden from visitors until they do. The owner still sees the page, with the message "This giveaway is not public yet."
  • The giveaway was deleted by its owner.
  • The owner's account was suspended for breaking the Terms of Service, or deleted.

How do I fix a 404 on my own giveaway?

  1. Log in and look for the bar at the top: "Your giveaways won't be visible to the public until you verify your email."
  2. Click Resend verification email and open the link while logged in.
