How do I create a new giveaway in KingSumo?

Click New Giveaway in your giveaway list (Dashboard), fill in the seven sections of the editor, and click Save. Creating giveaways works on every plan.

Before you start

  • Verify your email address. Until you do, visitors can't see your giveaways.
  • Have your prize name, value and images ready (JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB, ideally 2x1 and at least 680px wide).

How to create a giveaway

  1. Open your list of giveaways from Dashboard and click New Giveaway.
  2. Fill in the seven sections described below.
  3. Click Save. KingSumo opens the Promote page ("Congratulations!") with ways to share your giveaway.

The seven sections of the editor

  1. Giveaway Information — title, description, Starts At, Ends At, Awarded At (the prize date shown to entrants), Number of Winners and Timezone; under Who's Running This Giveaway? your name and website; under What Are You Giving Away? the prize name, value and images; and what entrants must provide (email always; name and phone number on the Lifetime Plan). New giveaways start now and end in one week by default.
  2. Sharing — which share buttons entrants see, and the default share text.
  3. Bonus Entries — extra actions entrants can take for more entries. See How can people enter my giveaway?

You can change everything later: open the dropdown next to the giveaway and click Edit.
